IMPORTANT EVENTS THIS MAY: A Great Feast

Each year on June 29, the Church celebrates the Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul. Please come to 8:00 morning Mass on that day, and stay for a small but bright celebration afterward. Also, parishioners are preparing a parish supper to honor Sts Peter and Paul. Mark your calendars, and plan to come. All members of our parish cluster are invited to go to Sts. Peter and Paul’s hall to celebrate our blessings and our patron saints!

Saturday Evening, June 24, at 5:00 p.m. A Parish Supper In celebration of The Feast Saint Peter and Saint Paul, Our Parish Patron Saints

Wedding Banns I

We are happy to announce the forthcoming wedding of Jean Claudel St.Simon and Cathleen Elizabeth Brown at Sts Peter and Paul Church.

Thank-You!

At the end of the catechetical year, we thank our volunteer catechists and sponsors who have taken so much time and effort to share our Catholic faith week after week. Thank you! We also thank Alvania, who has marvelously served as our director of Evangelization and Faith Formation for the past two years. It is with great regret that our parish finances are forcing us to cut Alvania’s position as a paid employee. We are delighted, however, that Alvania will continue to work with faith formation and youth ministry as a volunteer parishioner. Many thanks, Alvania

Planning for Future Faith Formation

It is not too early to plan for the future of faith formation for families with children in primary grades, youth ministry, adult learning, and R.C.I.A. Sharing faith as a volunteer catechist or sponsor is a wonderfully rewarding way to grow in faith by sharing it with others. If you are interested, drop us a line. Also, you are welcome to participate in a planning session for faith formation in our two parishes. We will meet at Sts. Peter and Paul’s hall on Thursday, June 22, at 6:30 p.m.

Next Sunday

Please be generous in supporting The Combined Collection for World Charities, the second collection next Sunday, June 10,11. Your contributions go to these important causes:

  • The Holy Land Collection

Next Sunday is Fathers’ Day

A very happy Fathers’ Day to all husbands and dads in our parishes. Also, please remember to return the baby bottles filled with your donations for CARENET, Pregnancy Resource Center! Thanks for supporting this effort to promote the care and protection of women, their children, and their families!

Catholic Conversation

Once more, we will meet on Saturday mornings to share coffee and thoughts about the Mystery of God, the Church, and the paths of redemption. Please join the group this Saturday, June 17, at 9 a.m., in the SSPP parish hall. A recommended item for discussion: what saint would you suggest as the patron for our two-parish cluster? What holy men and women do you see as role models for our time and place?
