Lord, when did we see you hungry? This theme reflects our call to missionary
discipleship. As St. John Paul II reminded us: The call to holiness is closely linked
to the universal call to mission. Catechetical Sunday allows our parish to recognize
and thank those who give generously of their time and gifts in the work of
catechesis. It is, also, a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the role that each
person plays, by baptism in handing on the faith and in witness to the
Gospel. Today, offer a special Thank You to someone in our parish who is engaged
in the faith formation of our youth and children. Let them know you appreciate
their gift of time and talent!
