Sobre o evento

On Sunday evening, October 15, at 7:00 pm, the Jewish Federation of Eastern Connecticut, the City of Norwich, in partnership with Ahavath Achim of Colchester, Ahavath Chesed of New London, Beth-El of New London, Beth Jacob of Norwich, Bnai Israel of Willimantic, and Emanu-El of Waterford synagogues, are hosting a one-hour Vigil/Call to Action at Beth Jacob Synagogue, 400 New London Turnpike, Norwich.

This event will feature comments from rabbis and other faith leaders, community leaders, and others as we come together to demonstrate our support for Israel in this time of crisis.

The evening will also be an important opportunity for the community to come together to try to understand the feelings we are all experiencing. We will hear about alternative courses of action to help heal our communities and to channel the pain into productive paths that will help ease the agony being felt by so many at this time.

People of all faiths are warmly welcome to attend.

In order to ensure everyone's safety, we are asking that you not bring placards or any large bags. All bags will be subject to search. There will be a strong police presence at the event. Please bring identification to share at the door. Everyone will be asked to share identification.

There is ample free parking. For further information, please call Rabbi Rabinowitz at (914) 380-0532; or Rachel Levy at (860) 333-8287.

There will be a Zoom link available for anyone unable to attend in person. In the interest of safety and security, we will not be posting the link here. If you need access to the link, please reach out to rebecca@jfec.com.

Jewish Federations stand in total and complete solidarity with Israel. We are working closely with our partners on the ground and have opened an emergency fund to support these efforts. Donate to the Emergency Relief Fund on our website here.
